Hello, this is the iDID Media editorial team. Previously,Cool designs. 15 live posters of comedians. It's been two years since we published the article "[Title of the article]". Thanks to everyone, it has become one of the most-read articles on iDID Media.

However! Meanwhile, comedians are putting on new live shows every day, which means that the number of cool flyers is also increasing. The comedy-loving members of our editorial team were itching to introduce them, and finally, they exploded with excitement. So, here is the second installment! We'll introduce them to you abruptly.

Here are 15 selections again this time. I've also included a brief analysis of each design, so whether you're a fan of comedians or design, please take a look. Enjoy!

First, regarding the 'su' in Eleki Comic,You might think this flyer is a photoshopped image, right? Well, actually, it's not. This is a portrait drawn by artist Kei Meguro. Not only is it realistically drawn, but even the way it's processed, like mosaic glass, is realistic. The second picture, showing two dogs side-by-side, is also the work of Meguro, and his overwhelming brushwork creates a quiet but powerful impact. Incidentally, these dogs are Yatsui's beloved pets, "Kobushi" and "Kohada."
Also, the promotional illustration for "Kinsei!!" was done by Inio Asano. Eleki Comic often creates art and cultural flyers, including illustrations and comics. Yusuke Ota, who was in charge of the promotional art, has been in charge of Eleki Comic-related designs for over 20 years. Apparently, he and Yatsui were high school classmates. (Nakamura)

This is a flyer for Naomi Watanabe, who is now active globally, including in New York, covering the period from 2024 to 2026. The visuals were handled by:Last articleYuni Yoshida was in charge of the poster visuals for Tokyo 03. From top to bottom: "nails" and "yakitori", "hair" and "lips", "Tokyo Dome" and "cake". Yoshida's specialtyIt's not just that the visual tricks and ideas fit Watanabe's visuals so well; what's noteworthy is how they fully bring out Watanabe's potential and create a new image of her.(Nakamura)

3. Jarujaru

Last timeNext up is Jarujaru. In their flyer,Using the two characters from the comedy sketches as the visual core, they create a mysterious and funny world each time."Don't Remove the Fa" was designed by Shun Sasaki of AYOND. The multiplying Jarujaru and the lost-child-like text create a whimsical atmosphere.
"Dada Daso Dasomian" uses manga by cartoonist and artist Yuichi Yokoyama. Yokoyama also wrote the title lettering, and his onomatopoeia and worldview really elevate the two members of Jarujaru. Jarujaru looks just like characters from Yokoyama's manga! I think this flyer really showcases the duo's excellent sense of style, both in the title and the visuals. (Nakamura)

me tooLast timeNext up is Lalande. Like Jarujaru, their visuals are centered around the two of them, but this one isInstead of their usual image, Lalande presents a "new Lalande" through "innovative visual imagery."This striking contrast to Lalande's usual image is surely a major reason why this flyer is so captivating. These two in "Baku Baku" definitely look like villains straight out of a manga. Both designs were handled by art director and designer Shimpei Umeda, who also designed the 2023 flyer for "Joudan." 5. Metrons

METRONZ #1-#10
Quote source:Metrons Special Website

The Metrons' concert flyers are not so much flashy as they are...These are the kind of visuals that really hit home when viewed together as a series. That's it. The familiar logo and typography make it seem understated each time, but the more episodes you watch, the more the work gains depth. Also, in #2 there are no performers, #7 is sideways, and from #9 onwards a guest actress joins in,The world of the artwork is updated through the way photographs are handled. That's interesting too. Each episode carefully captures the "slightly off-kilter atmosphere of everyday life,"The combination of comedians performing theater, a seemingly similar yet distinct concept, is cleverly translated into visual form.I think so. 6. Cotton

Cotton's solo live shows: 'dress' (2022), 'ethnic' (2023), 'flare' (2024), 'glove' (2025)
Quote source:FANY Magazine

Some duos, like Metrons, boldly change their worldview with each story, while others have completely different ways of creating continuity. Cotton's solo live show flyers are a prime example, with titles like 'dress', 'ethnic', 'flare', and 'glove', each featuring a different theme. The title's imagery unfolds, and each world fits neatly within the same format.Seeing them side by side makes me hope this trend will continue in the future. In Hanako's case, their three-member lineup and the striking visuals of each member make it natural that they primarily show their faces. For "Hajimete no Kanjou," MR_DESIGN was in charge of the visual design. Hanako is listed as HNK, and it has the feel of an NHK E-TV program. What's more, there are 13 different visuals in total, and the art direction is interesting because it's not limited to just one of them. The art direction for "Sonouchi" was also handled by Mori Henmi, who also worked on Cotton. Apparently, she designed the costumes while showing him old FRUiTS images, and then created some unusual photos in a local Chinese restaurant. (Nakamura)

This is the poster visual for a performance produced by Mitsuharu Sato, a comedian who also holds multiple titles as a scriptwriter and radio personality. At the heart of these live shows, Sato has the theme of "an ordinary man doing ordinary things."The posters for "The Play, Sato Mitsuharu Chapter 0" and "The Play, Sato Mitsuharu Chapter 1" feature a close-up of Sato's own face, but surprisingly, the photo is upside down. What's memorable is the glimpse of his slightly quirky, comedic personality. In "-Improvisation-Theater, Sato Mitsuharu 2025," he appears as an illustration. Tototo is in charge of the design each time. (Nakamura)

"Okano Exhibition" (2025)
Quote source:Owarai Natalie

All of Yoichi Okano's solo live show flyers have an air of "something being off" about them, and looking at them makes me feel strangely restless.Despite being deliberately created in a chaotic manner, it works without falling apart; the arrangement, colors, and the way the atmosphere is created are all part of Okano's worldview.I think so. This world view is addictive...! (OMIMU)

8th Solo Performance "Dance" (2025)
Quote source:Owarai Natalie

Following on from Yoichi Okano, the next band I want to mention is Kuuki Kaidan. Those familiar with their relationship will probably understand that this is the natural order of things. Looking at the flyers from Kuuki Kaidan's solo performances lined up,Although they show different expressions each time, they somehow seem to fit into the same flow. These three photos, too, are captivating: "Uncensored" has comedic elements, "Hikari" is more focused on the artistic aspect, and "Dance" blends dynamism with a sense of everyday life. You'll want to keep looking at the range of styles they offer. (OMIMU)

"Ah, Kero Kero" (2023)
Quote source:Owarai Natalie

Many of the posters for the male swing group feature illustrations by professional illustrators.Rather than focusing on the two members of Dans Blanco, the emphasis is on a broader "worldview," and the fact that the illustrator is in charge of creating that worldview draws you even deeper into it.That's what's interesting. Apparently, Jun Kawana, who is in charge of promotional art, and Kosuke Ajiro, who was in charge of the promotional illustrations for "Ah, Kerokero," were originally introduced to them by "Souhei Wakasaka," who is involved in the composition of each performance. Quote source:SUSH's X

I also featured GAG in my previous article, but the flyer for "GAG's One-Day Performance with Friends" has a completely different feel from last time. SUSH's illustrations show the comedians lined up, giving a slightly different impression of GAG than before. The liveliness of the project itself is what really stands out. That's right. I think the way everyone is portrayed equally is a unique sense of distance that's characteristic of this performance. (OMIMU)

13. The Land of Gold

3rd Solo Live "Boo" (2025)
Quote source:Owarai Natalie

Last time, the flyer for "The Land of Gold" looked like a poster for an independent film. This time, "Boo" has a slightly different feel. This visual captures a fleeting moment in time, hinting at something more to come.に な っ て い ま す.While the previous time we "showed" it from the front, this time we have a theatrical distance, "peeking" from the side. And now that I think about it, the fact that the logo is based on the couple's names is a subtle and cute detail. (OMIMU)

14. Ryo Ochiai

Ryo Ochiai Solo Live "Occurrence" (2025)
Quote source:Owarai Natalie

Ryo Ochiai is a solo comedian who was originally a postcard writer. He seems to be someone who has always thought about words and ideas, and his solo live show flyers also feature them.It felt like I got a little peek inside Mr. Ochiai's head. There are works like that. The newspaper-like appearance of "The Outbreak" and the vivid use of color in "Mockery and Worship" seem to be direct manifestations of the mood at the time, and I can't help but look at the details closely. Carnation's 1st Solo Live "Musk Carnation" (2025)
Quote source:FANY Magazine

Carnation, a male-female comedy duo with clearly defined straight-man and funny-man characters, previously performed under the name THIS IS PAN. During their THIS IS PAN days, they visualized their name itself with an experimental layout reminiscent of the ingredient list on a loaf of bread. After changing their name, they put Carnation front and center, and once again, their "name" is the main focus.Since neither of them actually appears, you can see a glimpse of their intention to get people to remember their names first!(OMIMU)

When it comes to rakugo flyers, the impression is that many feature the storyteller's face prominently, but the two shown here are the complete opposite. The fact that they don't feature any people and are made solely with text and motifs is refreshing. Looking at the visuals alone,It looks more like a flyer for contemporary art or an event than a flyer for a traditional performing art. The fact that it's a traditional art form yet doesn't feel out of place in this way makes me feel that it reflects the breadth of the rakugo genre.(OMIMU)

The end

What did you think of the second installment of our comedian posters? What's interesting is that not only are all the posters cool, but many of them also bring out the "worldview" that each comedian possesses. We also noticed that there are different layers of expression in each poster, such as "comedian focus (Naomi Watanabe, Lalande)", "comedian + worldview (Jarujaru, Kuukikaidan)", and "worldview focus (Yoichi Okano, Carnation)". We should also pay attention to the expressions of the designers and illustrators.

Now, this media outlet relaunched in July, and in order to increase the number of articles, we plan to add many new articles, including this one about comedian flyers. We hope you will continue to support us.

Until next time! This was the iDID Media editorial team!
