1. FUNTECH BRAND IDENTITY

FunTech's brand site, which features a revamped corporate identity to commemorate its 10th anniversary, is based on the concept of "One Million Volts of Creativity." Upon opening the page, the entire site transforms into a "slide-style" presentation, a format familiar to anyone who creates proposals. The menu on the left side of the screen is also a slide list, and slides can be downloaded as PDFs.
And the focus is,The entire implementation process is being carried out using AI agents such as Codex and Claude Code. Moreover, they've apparently worked with AI to create even the sensory pleasure derived from motion and WebGL. It's clear they're keeping up with the times and pursuing cutting-edge expression.

2. Spicato 10th Anniversary

This is the 10th-anniversary website for Spicart, a branding design company based in Kumatori-cho, Osaka. Along with the message, "Wills come together and take shape," the first visual displays a screen full of hand-drawn stones of varying shapes and designs. Each stone represents the individual colors and wills of the people who gather at Spicart. The site also showcases a calendar created by all the designers and a tote bag shaped like the number "10" using stones.
It's digital, yet it has an analog feel that makes you want to touch it.When I stumbled upon this site while browsing various websites online, it felt less like reading a commemorative site and more like reading a long letter, which somehow warmed my heart. The fact that it ultimately arrives as a gift made me feel a genuine warmth, as if the site was welcoming visitors not as "numbers" but as "the person themselves."

3. TAMURA Ikuho

This is the portfolio site of Ikuho Tamura, who works as a graphic designer, visual designer, and video artist. The concept is "a site with tool-like expandability that allows you to nurture your work." What catches the eye is the "sound UI," where pleasant sounds are superimposed on the transitions each time you touch the navigation or thumbnails, making you want to keep moving. The motion of the sun icon that indicates your current location and the playful way the entire site's colors change when you click the chameleon in the upper right corner are also fun, and when the site is idle, it starts moving as a screen saver.
A portfolio is a place that the person using it will look at the most, more than anyone else. That's why,Perhaps an important consideration is that the website itself should be something that the creator can continue to use without getting bored.

4. Recruitment information – TYO

This is the recruitment website for the video production company TYO. The main tagline is "Your colors light up the screen," and the theme is each individual's "uniqueness." What's striking are the characters, which were conceived from "pixels" (squares), the smallest unit of visual expression. They move around the screen, each with a different color and a different expression.
What we want to draw attention to is,The facial features and expressions of one employee are linked to each character using "facial capture."What's interesting is that instead of simply showcasing their individuality, they use characterization to bring out the "true, less visible individuality." For the employees, the "cute character" transforms into a unique, personal entity. While it's a recruitment process for new graduates, it also seems to be effective as internal branding.

5. Will Style Inc.

Willstyle, a web design company in Kobe, has revamped its corporate website for the first time in 10 years. Based on the concept of "a web design company that comes to you," the first view shows the team members continuously walking. Going to the site, meeting people, building relationships—this quiet determination is conveyed through their backs.
The most distinctive feature of this site is that almost all of the other photos also consist of pictures of the members themselves.Even the thumbnails for their portfolio showcase photos of the production process rather than finished websites, focusing on "how it was made" and "who they worked with." Despite being a web design company, they prioritize the "people who created it" over the finished product. This straightforward approach and distinctive style ultimately sets them apart from other web design companies.

6. "Ettore Sottsass – When the Magic Begins, Design is Born" Exhibition

This is the special website for the Ettore Sottsass exhibition being held at the Artizon Museum. This is the first large-scale retrospective exhibition in Japan of Sottsass, a leading figure in 20th-century Italian design. What's surprising is the "motion graphics" created by extracting colors and shapes from the exhibited works. The relationship between the site and the artwork goes beyond simply "introducing/being introduced"; it feels as if the worldview of the artwork has permeated even the UI's actions. It brings about a wonderful feeling, and what's even better is that you can feel not only the production team's ideas but also their love and respect for the author.

7. Hiragino Font

The website for Hiragino Font, a long-loved standard font, has been redesigned. The concept is "a clean, easy-to-read, and thoughtful website." The font's inherent characteristics of being "familiar and easy to understand" are directly reflected in the site's appearance.
A key feature is the "try it out" function. When you switch fonts or colors, the entire website transforms to reflect the world of that font. The key feature is that you can check how the fonts you're interested in actually look in the UI and text while browsing the site. That's right. I felt that the site was created with the idea of letting users experience fonts, rather than simply introducing them.

8. Aim Services 50th Anniversary Special Website

This is a special website celebrating the 50th anniversary of Aim Services, a company that has supported people's lives through food. The tagline is "The future is in everyday life." And the site begins with a first visual (FV) and shows the staff running around relentlessly.
The running scenes are not presented as video but as collages of cutouts, traversing seamlessly between different pieces of content.I'm not just going through the motions of the job in front of me; I'm running towards the future, for the sake of others. That feeling comes across, which is why it's so moving just to look at. The footer, where the president, staff, and even the site's creator run through it, is also very touching. How it was created is...Behind the scenes of the filmingYou can read about it in the article!
9. RETOUCH nu WAVE -HAIR WAX-

This is the product landing page for "RETOUCH nu WAVE," a hair wax specifically for permed and curly hair. Developed in collaboration with "fifth," Japan's number one men's perm salon, the website itself is beautifully designed, reflecting the slogan, "This is just right."
In the PC view, the visible area is composed of two axes: "video" and "navigation," and the key feature is that you can read through the content while casually watching the video. The act of "watching a video" and the act of "viewing content" occur simultaneously. They've done that. They boldly cut the video in SP View. I felt that the design, while being smartphone-first, was very carefully crafted, with the optimal presentation for each device considered.

10. Let's go to the city!

NEWTOWN's new project is called "Let's City!" It's a slightly unusual matching site that connects masters and apprentices. The overall design is poster-style, and the strips of paper, resembling band member recruitment flyers, are unique.Even the advertising space itself shows a clever idea.
In a situation where the traditional learning structures that were commonplace within organizations—such as "watching senior colleagues" and "learning on the job"—are gradually breaking down, freelancers, in particular, have limited opportunities to learn. What's interesting about this project is that it serves as a counterpoint to this "dwindling of on-the-job learning." The fact that you can become mentors and apprentices with people from different fields also suggests that unprecedented encounters will be created.

That's all.
How did you like our roundup of noteworthy websites for May 2026? This month saw a lot of websites celebrating milestones such as anniversaries and anniversaries, showcasing each company's individuality in how they presented what they had built up over the years. At the same time, we also saw websites that offered a glimpse into the current state of expression, such as those using AI in production and differentiating presentations for different devices. These 10 selections allowed us to enjoy both what has been inherited and new challenges.
Next time, we'll be writing a summary of our June website. As we begin to see hints of summer in between the rainy season, please take care of your health. Until then, this has been the iDID Media editorial team!
