1. unpis

unpis's illustrations always have a Eureka!-like "gimmick,"On unpis's portfolio site, the appeal of "mechanisms" is presented using methods unique to the web.The music video is like a pop-up book, where you can find the answers to the puzzles by clicking and dragging. There are also other features, such as a character that dances when you scroll and a character icon that switches to dark mode, and the way unpis's ingenuity is brilliantly integrated with the functionality of the web. This site made me realize that a site where the artist and production team work together so closely is bound to be interesting!

2. SOIL

This website uses ruled lines not just as a motif, but as the "main element," driving the entire site forward. The top and bottom lines in the logo move in various ways on the site, and the diverse array of borders drives the overall design. It's amazing how much variety can be expressed with just a single line. This border concept is what makes the site truly unique.
While I think using ruled lines as the main motif is quite a challenge in itself,I think it's amazing how you focused on the fact that even within this "common form" of ruled lines, "diverse things exist."I felt that the "cultural and contemporary perspective" that underlies client work is also considered a part of design.

3. Vue Fes Japan 2025

This website has a strange and interesting structure. The main visual, including VI and event information, is fixed in the background. Various content then scrolls across it like a microsite. The visual identity itself, with one fixed character and one character with motion, and a wide variety of color options, creates a diverse and global atmosphere. The development team consists of members of the Vue.js Japan community, so the unique and intriguing feel of this site may be a result of the chemistry between the branding team and the technical team.

4. Yamamoto Camera Shop

What impressed me about this site was,The key feature of the website is that the photos used are "actually taken by customers who have requested photo development or scanning services."By using actual customer photos rather than professional photographer shots, Yamamoto Camera Shop's service is vividly and purely showcased, conveying the shop's meticulousness and emphasis on "human connection." It truly reflects Yamamoto Camera Shop's philosophy of "connecting people through photography." The information architecture is clear, and the FAQ section is comprehensive. This project took a year to complete, and it feels like a testament to the careful work Mitone Design put into it.
Production: mitone design.
Direction / Design: Takanobu Maruyama, Shotaro Hamasaki

5. Night.

The site launch was posted quietly at 3:21, as night deepened. The name "Yoru." (Night.) and the dots added to it...It leaves a lingering impression that makes you wonder what the world of "night" means to designer Yukari Yokozawa and other designers.
That feeling is carried over to the website as well, with only the moon standing in yellow in the bottom right corner of the completely dark screen, and its shape changes as you go. The achievements that appear when you hover over them have the feel of watching an outdoor cinema.
This website made me realize that in a portfolio, in addition to showcasing achievements and skills on the site, it's also important to convey the "worldview" that the creator possesses, and that it's perfectly fine to include the designer's story within that worldview.
Produced by: Yukari Yokozawa (Yoru.)
6. Daiki Fujita

A sensory experience created by combining particle effects and a digital mouse stalker. The idea isn't just about showcasing technology, but also about providing an "experiential" experience. This website belongs to a designer whose work spans web design, UI/UX, 3D, interaction, and animation. They state that they "design experiences that harmonize functionality and creativity." The manual loading-like feature when transitioning to "NEXT" in the PROJECT details also provided a fresh and unique experience.
Produced by: Daiki Fujita @da32_kh
7. OUWN

The interface is innovative, treating the list of achievements displayed at the bottom of the screen as a "timeline," and switching the screen in accordance with the changes in the text. What's more, the speed of this timeline changes as you scroll. During loading, they "show all" their past projects until it reaches 100%. The entire site is like a "playable toy," and what makes the site unique is that they developed not only the site design but also the interface.
Production: STAND FOUNDATION co.,ltd.
8. OWARI DIARY

Tote inc. is in charge of the teaser site for SIRUP's 3rd album, "OWARI DIARY." Since "OWARI DIARY" means "diary-like" album, the site treats each song as "a page in a diary." Because a "diary" is an analog thing in this day and age,The artwork makes extensive use of analog materials, such as scraps of notebook paper, paper clips, Polaroids, and cassette tapes, as well as handwritten lyrics and comments, giving it a tactile, analog feel.I can tell this site was created with the fans in mind. I even checked out the 404 error page! (Tote Inc.'s BMSG FES'25 site was amazing too!)
Production: tote inc.
9. LENZ&Co.

A music video with a unique atmosphere. "LENZ&Co." = Lens (is that right?),The company's theme of "different perspective" is visually expressed through the design. In the ABOUT section, difficult concepts like "lenses" and "opposcopy" were clearly explained using diagrams and motion, making it easy to understand visually. I was also impressed by the richness of the content, including the emphasis on text in the PROJECT section, the development of the slide materials, and the integration of client interviews.

10. poporpop

What's striking about this site is the sense of "spatiality" and "narrative" in the overall structure. The music video features a girl and the logo character flying above the clouds. The service section depicts the vastness of outer space. As that space ends, we realize the girl was imagining things from a figurine, and this is where the tagline next to the illustration, "Leaping lightly beyond imagination," comes into powerful effect. I felt that the site conveys the company's vision and tagline through a "story," and that the overall structure is carefully crafted to tell that "story."
